This review is rather biased because I'm a Disturbed fan. But either way, if you are into alternative metal with candid meaning, then Disturbed is definitely a way to go. I love melody in music. This album is ladened with melodic riffs that will have you hooked, especially at the choruses. They arrange the music in such a way that you must listen to it. "Prayer" is my favorite track from the album, and my favorite track from their discography. It is the first track you hear and you are immediately brought in with the chunky, rhythmic tune. "Prayer" encompasses everything about the album. Draiman puts his heart into the music he makes and you can definitely hear it on this album. The album is called Believe, as you know: He'll take about religion, believing (in something, but he does explain it on the enhanced version/video), hope, the burden of life, and the struggles we face but can't seem to break from. Disturbed gives you stuff to think about... The enhanced CD has a the "Prayer" music video; just before it is a small explanation from Draiman about the song/album. The music is not "meaty"... not too much anyway. This is not their heaviest album instrumentally, but it shouldn't be passed over. The album slows down at the last track with "Darkness", an acoustic song helping you (or somebody) understand a little bit more... The album cover is innerestin' to look at. If you can't figure out what all the symbols are, then you can buy the hardcopy or look here: Star/Moon, Cross (or 4 quarters), Star Of David/Hexagram, Encircled Star/Pentagram. Something I don't like about the album? Hmmm... I can't say that I dislike anything about it really. It is rather short. But I'm glad they made many more songs. If you don't like being preached at (ha ha), then Disturbed might not be fer you--this album in particular, not so much. If that is the case, however, you should atleast listen to "Liberate". If you are into KoRn, Seether, early Staind, Taproot, and even Crossfade, then I definitely think you will like this album/band. It is not expensive, and you can get it new fer less than 10 bucks if you look hard enough (incl. the hardcopy). It really helps me to vent my anger and deal with my frustrations, confusions, and boredom, as do many bands that I listen to. Find out what Disturbed does fer you on yer own. Rock on.Read full review
This Disturbance has a more spiritual theme to it I think but this ROCKS the house. If the trailer is rockin' don't bother knockin' I won't HEAR you. All the way to the last, the beautiful "Darkness," this is full of passion and heat and you will love it if you love to be "DISTURBED." I've been *disturbed* most of my life and just didn't know it til I picked up their 'stuff!' I am nearly fifty and this truly LIBERATES my mind. Better than medication! !! Fights hardening of the arteries. I don't need Geritol now. GET DISTURBED! You'll have a blast if the neighbors don't bang on the wall and tell you to turn it down. Maybe you'll be lucky and they'll tell you to turn it the (oops) UP. I think I've said enough, it ROCKS the box!Read full review

There is a quality to the songs on this CD that tugs at you, may be the times in which we live but well worth the price! Being born in 1957 and growing up through almost all rock and roll this one is worthy of my collection!
