I've been a huge fan of this band since their first major release "Anarchists of Good Taste". They've come a long way, had many line-up changes and are still able to produce quality material. This is a very diverse record, it goes in various directions. Sometimes just one of the many songs on the album will take countless turns, like "Silent Film", "The Hitchhiker", and "Moonlight City Drive", which contain multi-genre elements throughout. The crime saga themed lyrics are very tasteful but seem to lack in comparison to their last album "Committed To a Bright Future". If you've been a fan, I recommend this album. If you aren't clued in to Dog Fashion Disco's brand of music, this may or may not be a good starting point, although they show all of their colors during this record, it's quite a lot to take in if you aren't prepared.Read full review
This is the highlight of DFD's career and a fitting end to their legacy (no matter how overlooked they were). Eclectic is a abused word today but this album is that, fo sho. Listen to songs like Desert Grave and 100 Sucides and tell me you prefer Syndrome of a Down.
This album is truly a masterpiece on all levels. To discribe this album best is trying to imagine Sin City or a Tarantino style movie put to music & you've got the feel for Adultery. There is no other album that I have ever heard that captures the feel from beginning to end of a slick crime triller & comic book style genius. Fans of Mr.Bungle/Mike Patton will surly find lots to sink their teeth into with this album, approaching the song writing with brooding originality & outstanding performances & production. This is guaranteed to be a cult classic of epic proportions. 10/10
