Recording information: Extrema Outdoor Festival, Aquabest, Eiindhoven, The Net (07/15/2006). This typically sprightly set from Dr. Lektroluv does come straight from the DJ's performance at the Netherlands' Extrema Outdoor festival. True to form, Lektroluv sticks to his usual assortment of up to date and slightly aged dancefloor tracks that tend to be classified as electro (a separate, later entity from the likes of Cybotron and Afrika Bambaataa). Most of the selections get three to four minutes to do damage. Highlights include Etienne DeCrecy's "F*ck," Cajmere's "Say You Will (Green Velvet Instrumental Mix)," and Röyksopp's "What Else Is There (Trentemoller Remix)." A little crowd noise is mixed in, just for some added excitement, but none of it is invasive. ~ Andy Kellman
