This is the funk metaller's second album, with Chuck Mosley doing the singing. Anyone expecting Mike Patton's vocal histrionics might be disappointed, and really they shouldn't be! Although Chuck isn't as versatile, I thought his rougher, almost punk delivery added a different dimension to the embryonic sound of "Introduce Yourself" I dig this record. It's got groove. The standout track is the updated version of "We Care A Lot", with it's very socially conscious lyric seeming particularly apt today (We care a lot, about your people, about your guns, about the wars you're fighting, gee that looks like fun!). The music is good... it's a rougher, less polished version of "The Real Thing", but the elements are all there: Mike Bordin's drumming is superb and Billy Gould's bass playing remains fantastic!
