This is one of MATW's best, almost as good as Through the Forest after it. There is some crunchy mostly mid-tempo guitar and gothic vox. It is not as plodding as some of their other discs. It has little New Wave keys. The upbeat tunes are very good: House of Sin, If U Listen, Don't Give Up, Sunday, Draggin' Chain. Midtempo good also: Back 2 U & Questions. Adam & Eve's ballad fairs well also. Think Tea Party or The Cult. The lead vox are deep and hauntingly edgy, and the backing compliments nicely. The clincher for some will be the song Isn't Sex a Wonderful Thing? This is the most brutally honest song I've ever heard from a Christian artist. It is painfully sarcastic. Some will even find it disturbing. I remember when some people sought it's banning.
Incredble CD by Randy Rose and Mad at the World. For Old School Metalheads, and those who like good lyrics and great musicianship. These three albums by mad at the world, Seasons of Love, Boomerang, and Through the FOrrest are must haves.
