Gram Parsons had a very short performing life and only left two mostly studio recordings behind him as a solo artist--although he is ably accompanied by a young Emmy Lou Harris who was just beginning her singing career. The songs on both of these releases convey a fresh sound that combines country, folk, and pop genres that preceded and influenced successful groups like The Eagles and Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Sound quality is excellent for its era and the remastering has made it sound as good as it is likely to get.

Rolling Stone magazine top 500 album. Graham wasn't meant for the world for too long. But accomplished a lot in a little time. The Byrds Sweetheart of the Rodeo, the Flying Burrito Brothers The Gilded Palace of Sin all rolling Stone magazine top 500 albums

While Gram's best work was with the Flying Burrito Brothers, these solo album cuts also demonstrate his wonderful singing, great harmonies with EmmyLou Harris, several live cuts, and his putting the country into country-rock. You can't help but be singing along after a few listenings. It's great that we have these older titles available in digital format to hear them as they were recorded. This ones a keeper1
Had great talent, but partied too much with Keith Richards. Keith could handle it, Gram could not. Thanks, Gram, for the music.
