I became interested in this band after hearing a track on a Metal Hammer Southern Trendkill compilation. I was and still am unfamiliar with their earlier work. I belive that this albumn is quite different & the band took some flak from their original fanbase for a change in genre direction. Down to the Nitty Gritty - Suck out the Poison is an excellent record. I wanted this disk for so long & wasn't dissapointed when i got it. To clasify this Band / Album is quite difficult, Yes there is some Southern Flavour, but there is also a whole lot more. Excellent Vocals, well structured songs, strong production, Interesting Lyrics. what you get here is something that sounds fresh yet familiar. and in my numerous listens in the short time ive had it i haven't tired of it - the closest comparison would be somewere between clutch & faith no more so thats quite diverse. Curious? Buy It.Read full review
Awesome Album! Don't really care for He Is Legend's other material but this album is on. If you like good rock with a little aggressive vocals then this is it! Some of the lyrics somebody will find offensive or disturbing. Just the way we like it!
