After their fifth album, a self-titled 2006 release, Jagged Edge departed from Sony and landed back with Jermaine Dupri, who was quick to reclaim the group once he became president of Island Urban Music. As a title, Baby Makin' Project doesn't really do much to indicate that there will be much of a difference between its content and that of JE's past albums. There's a slightly higher percentage of ballads and midtempo songs, but for the most part, this is exactly what one should expect from the group by now — not a masterpiece, but another strong addition to the catalog. As usual, even the middling material has replay value, saved by the sound of the members' four voices; few modern groups sound this good together. For the very first time, no MCs are featured (maybe they figured it could only go further downward after Jagged Edge's "Ass Hypnotic"); Ashanti is the lone guest, and she adds deeper appeal to "Put a Little Umph in It."Read full review
I truly love listening to Jagged Edge. This CD sounds so fresh, just like all of their works. Their music is timeless. This CD is a "Baby Makin' Project." I especially enjoy cuts 5 through 7. Cut 6 is my favorite. This CD is perfect for a romantic encounter. If you are a JE fan, you will appreciate having another one of their CDs for your collection. Buy it!
This is one of the best cds Jagged Edge has done. All the songs on this cd are good. If you are a Jagged Edge fan you will love this cd. It's as good as the first, or any following cd's for the group. They have remaind consistant throughout their career.
i love this cd it was in great condition and came all intact it is one of my favorite groups in the whole world i bought it because it is one of the albums that i do not have yet in my colletion it is a must for all you jagged edge fans
I like the lyrics, the music, the arrangement is great. The mixing, basically everything! Usually you can never go wrong with a Jagged Edge CD, this is a seasoned group!
