This album was the first thing produced by King Crimson's (in)famous "ProjeKcts", and one of only two studio albums that came from the whole experiment (the other being ProjeKct X). ProjeKct Two consisted of Robert Fripp (guitar), Adrian Belew (electronic drums), and Trey Gunn (bass, warr guitar), so you can imagine it's not too terribly different from regular King Crimson stuff, albeit with a bit more of Belew's weirdness. The album's liner notes and track titles definitely have a humorous bent, reflected in the silly "space station" theme of the recording diary entries, and the Belew-isms scattered throughout the album art. Musically, imagine a lot of their live improvisations, particularly from things like the "Three of a Perfect Pair" album, but with more studio polish, and in very, very long form. I call it "future jazz", but really, it's just King Crimson doing that thing they do, and doing it very well for two whole CDs. Good relaxation or space-out music; also good at freaking out your friends when they want to know what you're listening to.Read full review
This is one of the best albums I've ever heard, definitely in the top 10 albums of all times, in my opinion.
