I was never a fan of Kiss during the years that they were burning up the charts and the airwaves. But they knew how to put on a live show, and not just visually -- this remastering of their original live album is first-rate from beginning to end, capturing their musical virtues exceptionally well and a better listening experience than most of their studio albums. They would never have been a match for the likes of, say, the Cream on one of their really good nights on stage, in terms of musical reach (or grasp), but as a showcase for Kiss's music you can't do much better than this.

the best live album of all time and one of the greatest rock albums of all time ! . A young and hungry kiss rip through classic after classic like hungry young tigers ! , from opener deuce though 100,000 years to let me go rock 'n 'roll this is the business ! the ultimate ! . I know there are knockers out there who will say it was overdubbed and this has been admitted by the band ,but in my opinion having listened to stuff like michigan palace 74 and the cobo concerts of 76 I think the album actually does'nt convey how exciting kiss really were in concert and I'm sure any kiss fan who has seen the version of she on the midnight special 75 will agree me .
I bought this album in vinyl when I was a teenager, after seeing KISS perform on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert on TV. I became an instant fan. After recently seeing them in concert, I purchased the album on CD. I'm a KISS fan all over again!! Call it nostalgia if you will, but the album brought back so many memories of their music. It's still a great album after 30 years have elapsed. It brings all the excitement of their live performances right into your home, car, or even your workplace. I can't recommend it enough!!!
Limited only by the recording capabilities of the mid-1970's, this CD allows a classic hard rock band to come alive in today's stereo systems. This remaster sounds as solid and clean as an original, and included a 5-page booklet with photos and notes from the band members. A two-disc set, there are 16 songs included on this recording.

One of the best live rock'n' roll live albums beginning to end. Yeah, engineers & producers toyed with it for clarity and awesome sound, but so what? Ace Frehleys' lead guitar playing is worth it all. All their classic Kiss songs of that time make this double CD "The hottest band in the land." I'll add "Yessongs" by Yes to be fair.
