Contemporary metal doesn't get much better or blistering than Lamb of God, something the quintet proves track-by-track on this latest offering. Armed with a bevy of furious riffs and perhaps even more furious vocals, the group tears through tracks such as "Walk with Me in Hell" and "Foot to the Throat" with a ferocity too-little-heard among the sea of bands that the group has inspired in its still-young career. Detractors will be tempted to fault the band for its lack of subtlety, but they're clearly missing the point. There are but a handful of young heavy bands worthy of carrying the proud torch of metal in this decade, and Lamb of God--along with The Esoteric and Totimoshi--is one of them. Just take a listen to "Again We Rise," "Requiem," or "Pathetic" and see if you don't agree.
I don't even know where to begin with this album, it is just phenomenal from start to finish. I hadn't heard any of the tracks from this album (besides Redneck) before I bought it so I didn't know what to expect. Needless to say, I was extremely happy when I cranked Walk With Me In Hell. The song started off so intense and kept going all throughout. The entire CD is simply intense and filled with energy. There isn't a song on this CD that doesn't make me what to mosh! With this album it is clear they drew some inspiration from Pantera and In Flames. The music has the feel of In Flames and the vocals sound much like Pantera. When you get a mix like that, it is hard not to get excited! Needless to say, buy this album!
I heard that Lamb of God had come out with a new CD and thought to myself, "AWESOME!" And when I got it today in the mail, it did not let me down. This album is absolutely balls-to-the-wall metal at it's finest. The vocals do sound different but in a good way. The music itself hits harder than a sledge hammer. The lyrics are a lot more explicit and contain a lot more hatred than in other albums and that is what makes it a truly mosh-inducing, head-banging, jaw-dropping experience that you will wan to listen to again and again. It starts off making you want to grow throw something out of a fourth-story window and doesn't stop. Absolutely incredible for all metal fans and should never be passed up.
On this album,Lamb of God finally became the big boys on the block blowing away Slayer on stage during the unholy alliance. The material like Redneck and all the other songs on this album shows Lamb of God is the best band of the new millennium.Unfortunately,my copy of the CD got stolen by some losers in bisbee. It's a definitive classic for my collection of Metal. They always in the previous CDs done a great mix of Slayer-like riffs and Pantera-like riffs and gone beyond of those great metal bands doing their thing.Lamb of god rules and Sacrament is their reign in blood or Vulgar display of power.
This is pure american metal. No many words needed. straight to the point, this is one of these must have cds. The guitars riffs, the drums´creativity, and the painful throat of the screamer Randy, make this work one of the best records on the metal scene. If you like PANTERA, someway, this guys will remind you about them, with their own style, but same intensity. Just buy it, they deserve it. You´ll love it...
