This is the first cd that George Lynch released after Dokken broke up for the first time. It is my favorite of all of his Lynch Mob cds, because it has the strongest material that I have heard from this group. The vocals are harder than anything that the group Dokken would ever do, but Dokken cds feature Lynch's guitar a bit harder than the Lynch material does. They are just two different styles of music, but the styles are really good, and I like them all very much. When they perform live, they do both Dokken and Lynch Mob stuff, and it sounds excellent with them both together. If you want to hear some really good hard rocking vocals, and you want a good George Lynch cd, that are not any of the Dokken ones, than this would be my first choice to get of his Lynch Mob cds out there.Read full review
This album is stacked from start to finish. No filler on this CD. George Lynch peaked with this album, his playing sizzles from the fast fingered 'Wicked Sensation,' to the extended medolic soulful extended solo of 'For A Million Years.' Music is great, and the lyrics are strong too. You have your fast paced rockers on here, as well as a couple pretty strong ballads. AWESOME CD!
Very good hard rock release from George and the boys. Great mix. Good no frills songs with catchy hooks. I'll be honest that I never heard the second release but the second release has a different singer and there are horns and keyboards used. I don't think it topped this one. With Wicked, think backyard bbq pool party. It's guranteed to get the beer flowing and the bikini tops flying.
any fan of Dokken will not be disappointed in this record. the only major difference between this CD and a Dokken record are the vocals of Oni Logan----(absolutely splendid---not that Don Dokkens' are bad, just that Onis' are more powerful/soulful in a Ian Gillen or Paul Rodgers way) 11 of the 12 tracks are great 'turn it up rock-n-roll'--------the only dud is a painfully bad ballad near the end of the record. get this CD--you won't be disappointed
This was an excellent first cd for George Lynch and his band after he left Don Dokken in the dust. This cd outrocks anything that Dokken ever done, the guitar is absolutely stout, even the couple ballads on this disk rock. Lyrics are very strong and the vocals are spot on. There is simply not a bad or mediocre tune on this cd. If your a metal fan, or just like really good hard rock buy this cd, you won't regret it.
