If John's wife, Corey, became lead singer of Skillet, I'd think they'd sound much like Flyleaf here; got that kind of Evanescence vibe, which has to be said. I don't think this cd is as good as their first. It is less memorable, less catchy hooks. This one has a fair bit more mellow stuff also. However, Lacey's vocals are stellar here, perhaps even better than their first cd. The approach taken in production here certainly showcases her haunting lead vocals. But, to make this an even better outing, the moody gothic side of the band could have been pushed a bit more. This is what makes them unique. I would have liked this cd to have been a bit noisier, perhaps the band should have been pushed more than the lead vox. What also makes this cd unique is the artwork. The liner has an unusual story instead of lyrics and the graphics are dazzling.Read full review

I love everything about this cd. It's raw, grungy, artistic, rockin alternative Christian music that speaks to the gut of your soul no matter what your religious stance is. Lacey Spurn has a fire in her belly and it comes out in her voice and spirit as if she was exhaling pain and darkness while simultaneously inhaling life and light. This is original Flyleaf at it's very best with Lacy Mosley Spurn. The music and lyrics will transform you. This is as real as it gets.
Flyleaf is one of my favorite band's, and this is only there second album, Flyleaf fan's have been patiently waiting for new music from them for almost five years, and I think they made another excellent album there will definitely be song's to your liking and some song's maybe not to your liking, but all in all many new Flyleaf's song's and Lacey's voice will be stuck in your head, they have such a unique sound, and not to many girls can rock the way Lacey does and her words are powerful, this is a must album to buy and own.
Like new .This is a awsome new Rock group that got like one of the top 100 rock group ratings of this year, they are also a Christian band, they are main stream and also played on the Christian alternative stations and they have great sound. I would sugest this to anyone who likes a great ROCK sound as well as wholsome lyrics.
