Misery Signals know how to tell a story through their amazing music writing ability. Even if this album didn't have any of the amazing lyrics found on it, it would still be extremely moving. The tracklisting flows perfectly. Not a single song is worth skipping, not even the calm, serene "Migrate". The true highlight of this album, in my opinion at least, is the track "One Day I'll Stay Home", which (oddly enough) features guest vocals by Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. It's an uplifting yet somber tune about the strife and hardships of being away from those you love for an extended period of time. This whole album is just crafted perfectly from beginning to end. New vocalist Karl Schubach, while not sounding anything like former vocalist Jesse Zaraska, is the perfect replacement. He brings more of a guttural scream, which has just as much, if not more at times, emotion than Zaraska's. "Mirrors" is much like "Of Malice and the Magnum Heart" in that it may take a little time to grow on you. But when it does, it'll be in your CD rotation for weeks, even months.Read full review
