Poor Janick Gers! To follow Bernie Torme' in a band as noted for the guitar playing as the singing, he didn't have much chance. He does an admirable job though, as do the rest of the band. But, the name on the marquee is Gillan and that's what got the people in the door. It's funny because this was released about the time Ian Gillan was rumoured to be having throat problems; if that was true, you can't tell from his performance. His singing is measured as another instrument and he doesn't disappoint. Top-notch performances all around make this a worthy purchase.
