I've been a fan of PM5K since Mega!! Kung Fu Radio and to this day I still think that's their best album. I don't care how popular they got from the album Tonight The Stars Revolt! which is a awesome album itself but I just think Mega!! Kung Fu Radio was the real PM5K before they started the whole space thing, but hey that was cool in it's own right. It's too bad that Anyone For Doomsday? was never realeased because Spider thought it was too much of the same. It was a decent album but very rushed and short. So PM5K stripped down their sound with Transform and went with something new and more just rock n roll. I liked Transform, thought it was decent but by far my least favorite record until now. Destroy What You Enjoy is even more stripped down then the previous record and has more of a punk vibe to it. On my first listen I was like okay I'm done with PM5K but I've given more chances and I still don't care for it that much but it's not horrible or anything. If I remember correctly I think Spider is the only orginal member of the band so it's kinda hard to keep the same sound. It's sad that Heroes And Villains is the best song off the cd and it's only a live track. When I first heard that song I was excited because I thought PM5K was gettin heavier but then when I bought the cd and the whole cd sounded different so I was kinda pissed, but all complaints aside..it's not an amazing record but decent and if your a true fan of this band then give it a few more spins before you piss all over it, because it's growing on me slowly. And if this is what Spider wants to do, then so be it. People's tastes change over the years and if you can't accept that that your closed minded.Read full review
Whatever happened to the cool sound of Tonight the Stars Revolt? Their follow up (which they never released, Anyone for Doomday?) was in the same great vein. Transform was mediocre, but this is sorry as hell! It's like that water- downed trash Blink 182 and crap that passes for music nowadays. Completely disappointed and I'm not sure Spider can ever redeem himself in my eyes. Guess that's why all the other band members quit and took no part in this trash.
While I long love the Original Sounds of Powerman 5000 this kind of a let down while not horrible and has some really good songs but its just not the same Powerman it used to be. If you like punkish grunge rock then you'll most likely enjoy it alot but if you really only liked the sounds of the original albums this may not be for you.
A CD I hadn't heard until now,so good.

This is a different sound, but this is also a different bad. If you don't like the sound then get over it and find something else to listen to.
