This is absolutley the best album of Soundgarden. i love the rarity and hypnotic originality that pursuaded my ears to listen. This album is the birth of the graceful and haunting lyrics and vocals of Chris Cornell, the charasmatic screams launching from Kim Thayil's guitar, the taunting and unhumbling laughter and growling of Hiro Yamamoto's bass, and the toxic pounding and racing of Matt Cameron's* drums. This release is amazing and so are the members which are still great, even till this day. *i forgot if it was Scott Sundquist on this album or not. But, BEST CD BY SOUNDGARDEN EVER!!!!!
The band makes it first project with this one old school music where you can scream and it sound proper as well a very young Cornell and a very young band like well it more go than wow it sound like there first project it there first on all levels if you like raw and not mature well this is were it start for you it did for there own sake and they went on hmmm i think hum ding yet wing ding and a level of entry to the music world if you have stumble on it you gonna like soundgarden as they mature i think it makes you accept them as they get more album release there a saying for it as you become older you become more guru yeah it show with soundgarden rating 6onwards out of 10
From the first note, it sounded eerie, strong. It atracted me instantly. It wasnt anything I had heard before. The radio stations would never play this. Like all the other kids it hooked me right away. As I listened to it more and more the hook went deeper. Chris Cornell's singing was amazing, the lyrics were great and the band was no less magical. I still listen with pride
Great band

Knowing how much the sound of Soundgarden changed even just between Badmotorfinger and Superunknown, I wasn't sure what to expect from Screaming Life/Fopp. I was pleasantly surprised. These EPs (together as one) are the essence of Soundgarden, raw yet complete, straightforward yet original. A must for any Soundgarden fan.
