This was my first album by Norman Brown. I bought it because I wanted to hear Norman Brown and because I like Ricky Lawson, who is one of my favorite drummers. My favorite part of the album is its diversity; how Brown shows his versatility by playing different "feels." Out of the whole album, my favorite tracks are: 1, 3, 5 and the last 5 tracks. However, the whole album is AMAZING and I highly recommend listening to it all the way through...consecutively. NO SKIPPING! Just a recommendation - not a necessity. Hope you like it, everybody. :) The Luther Vandross cover (track 4, I think) could have been avoided from the album but it's not the end of the world. 5 stars out of 5 for sure.
I really like this album. The music is excellent and a welcome addition to my library.
