You cant really say enough about this recording. The energy these guys produce is uncanny. To say its thick and heavy is an understatement at best. It actually (in my opinion) is one of the heaviest cds ive ever owned...and I own ALOT. The drums are more like a Chaos-machine than they are human... The drumming alone makes me feel as if Ive stumbled into a war zone, with the rapid bursts of machine-gun fire and the colliding of metal on metal. The guitar work is just as violent...the riffs and hooks scream and moan with passion, pain, and animosity...which brings us to the vocaling. As is the rest of the cd, the vocals are convincing. Lots of power and conviction in this guys lungs...with every shrill, grind or haunting echo, you will be amazed.... A MUST cd for any hard music fan. The for-runner for this cd is also worth checking out: "they're only chasing saftey"...do yourself a favor!?!? GRAVE86Read full review
This is the breakout of this band. They are push pinned on the map with this opus! The guitar riffs perfectly compliment the formidable roars accented by the melodic vocals. Great stuff!
The new CD "Define the Great Line" follows on the heels of their best to date, "They're Only Chasing Safety". This CD has everything I liked about Safety with punch and feeling. The songs on the CD also tell a story. Any fan of screamo should check this out!
This is one of Underoaths best cds. If you like heavy music this is great for you. It even has a few more mellow songs that are great.
I bought this CD because I had heard some other songs by Underoath that I liked. This CD was good, different than what I had expected, but still a good CD. I would most likely buy their next CD.
