This is probably one of the best reviews of "standard" and not-so-standard ballads I've had the pleasure of listening to. Heard an interview with Sandy Stewart and her son Bill Charlap on National Public Radio and was impressed enough to buy the CD on eBay. Her voice is terrific and his piano accompaniment is so great that I bought two more Bill Charlap Trio CD's just to enjoy his playing. Highly recommend this CD if you're in an easy listening mood.
