Notes
Inspired by his passion for Japanese monster and martial arts films, horror and avant-garde cinema, Buckethead is one of the most bizarre and enigmatic figures in underground experimental music today. Monsters & Robots features guitar heavy rock, hip-hop, electronic and twisted funk, marking the return of what CMJ has called "the first great guitar god of the next millennium." Guests include Les Claypool and Bootsy Collins.

    Buckethead???

Buckethead requires a different taste in music.. I have quite a few of his CDs and enjoy them. He is a guitar virtuoso. Has played with Guns and Roses. But, his solo instrumental work is phenomenal. Again, acquired taste.. But, I like him a lot. Recommend him to anyone that likes different rock..

  • For Buckethead Robot Fans

Monsters and Robots (1999) is a concept album by Buckethead (a member of Guns 'n' Roses from 2000 to 2004). The album is a blend of experimental rock, alt-metal, funk, and ambient and electronic sounds interspersed with some sci-fi dialogue about Giant Robot and Buckethead. It’s like a sci-fi story presented in a radio program-type format. What comes to mind for me is Orson Welles’ “The War of the Worlds” broadcast. Monsters and Robots follows Bucketheadland (1992), Giant Robot (1994), The Day of the Robots (1996), and Colma (1998), an acoustic album. What ties the first three albums together is ambient sounds (sometimes bizarre and/or quirky), weird skits, difficult instrumental passages, experimentation, and a sci-fi tone. Monsters and Robots has been rated 4 out of 5 ...

  • Perhaps Buckethead's Best And Brightest!

What a mix, features new original tracks with same group of friens, only with one small difference, Les Claypool on bass for all 12 or 13 tracks depending on what version you get. They due amazing renditions of Giant Robot (Band on NTT, not the album Giant Robot) songs aswell. From start to finish, a great album. Worth your time!
