The passing of Lyle Mays prompted me to reflect on this amazing composer and musician who was so integral to the Pat Metheny Group. Years ago I had made a cassette recording of this CD and had not listened to it since I abandoned that format. After his death, I was compelled to revisit this and other of his recordings. I believe the compositions, musicianship, and recording is phenomenal. I was happy to be able to find this cd and surprised it is out of print. I am glad I was able to retrieve this music and return it to my library. RIP Lyle. Your music lives on.
