I have bought two clubs of the satin TP line (54*10 bounce and a 60* 6 bounce), they are great wedges and worth every single dime. I never been able to spin the ball in the past with my older wedges, but now it's a totally different story. I can effortless spin a two core ball. Around the green a RAC club will give you plenty of confidence. I am a mid handicapper and trying to improve my short game, I truly believe I have the right wedges to do so. I have played three rounds with the new wedges now and I can tell you I have gained about 15y per club approx.(I only play one type of distance ball) I now average 115 with my 54* you will not be disappointed.
If you are looking for a wedge that provides great distance control on approach shots and is very smooth around the green then this is your club. The non glaring finish is perfect for bunker shots around the green when the blade has to be opened up all the way. This club is a dream come true for the golfer who wants to lower his score by sticking shots within ten feet of the flag with stopping power and precision. Taylormade has made a leap ahead of any of its competition with one simple club. This is your club to lower your score!
These wedges are excellent. Got the Sand and Lob to complete a new set of irons and love the feel. The Y-Cutter grooves make the ball react like the pros on TV. The grooves also don't chew up the ball as bad and other U-grooves. You can make it skip and stop, back up or release depending on the needed shot. I have been totally impressed with the clubs and would recommend them to anyone serious about the game.
I bought this 54 degree wedge made by Taylor Made because it is so much easier to make shots with as I get closer to the green. It is much better from a variety of surfaces than my R7 CGB Sand Wedge when it comes to not blading my shots. I had trouble from hardpan and short grass but have done much better with this thinner wedge. This is just my experience. I love Taylor Made products and do not plan on changing.
I love the feel and bite these wedges create. Great deal too! Two wedges for the price of one, you can't pass that up. They set up very well at address and allow you to shape the ball high or low. Play the bump and run shot with ease. All around these are the best wedges I have ever owned. I've played different styles to include the all favorite Cleveland but these are much better for my game!
