Not worth the price.
The name Oldtimer was considered a quality product made in USA, however what I received was an inferior product made in China. I could have bought a similar item directly from China at much reduced price. The scales and blades are poorly finished, one of the scales is cracked where it is riveted. and the rivet has a sharp edge and was not finished properly.

Works both right and left handed wonderfully. I carved a spoon with a wood spirit handle, from walnut first thing....right out of the box. No locks on blades wasn't an issue....

This knife will do what you need it to!
I'm new to blades like this but I constantly run it situations where I need to trim something and I thought this looked like a good tool have to make the odd shapes easier and this knife sure has done that! It's well built very sharp and easy to use

Affordable,sharp,sturdy must have wood carving knife.
At under $20.00 it compares far better than other brands in the $100.00+ range that have only 2 blades. It includes 2 scorp blades making it a far better value for carving spoons & small bowls etc. The blades were reasonably sharp out of the package. The handle is large enough to be comfortable for 1-2 hour stints. If you are a pro, this is still useful because it puts so many blades within quick reach for small quick trims. I primarily carve on smaller projects, wood spirits, scoops and band saw boxes. The blades are well suited for carving wing details.At under $20.00 it compares far better than other brands in the $100.00+ range that have only 2 blades.
