I bought this book because I intend to become an eBay power seller, and I look for information concerning selling on eBay from every where I can get it. This is a good book, and I found it to be helpful, but I actually learned more about the subject through eBay's community board. In other words, I consider this to be a good book, but it's not a must have. However, what I liked most about this book is that it doesn't feed you hype. It doesn't set off any fantasy bells in your head. It's a realistic and sensible reference to help people develope the mentality for product sourcing, where to look, and how to present yourself professionally to wholesalers. For those who want to hear hype, will be disappointed with this book. All in all, there's nothing to dislike about this book. Every chapter is informative, but I wouldn't recommend buying this book to anyone because I learned everything that's in it and more through eBay's community board for free. To learn the ropes, all you need to do is tune into eBay's announcements, and participate in their on line classes. Company's who are affiliated with eBay will give you all the information you'll ever need for free.Read full review
WHAT TO SELL ON EBAY AND WHERE TO GET IT. Chris Malta and Lisa Suttora Uncle say's buy Chris Maltas book on how to find stuff or better yet, save the time and money on his book and just go pay for his service /sarcasism Bought the book on the River and it stinks... how to use the newspaper, how to use a pen and paper, how to think in product sourcing mode, Do like Sally, Jim and Fred, That's the first four chapters Blah, Blah, Blah, the history of refrigerators Next three chapters Blah Blah worldwideblah, Blah, how to read information on a package, How to read a magazine on an airplane and get ideas, worldwideblah. Next four chapters Blah, Blah, Blah, how to use Google In the last chapter Chris follows a powerseller to China, Wait? Chris is an expert in sourcing why is he FOLLOWING a powerseller to China? DON'T buy this book if you have at least two rocks in your head, if you only have one go ahead and buy it, Chris Malta will help you source another rock. There should be a law against people that pray on wannabe powersellers. Note: one of the main themes in the book is how to avoid middlemen.Read full review
I like this book mainly because it was written by an author that has been involved directly with Ebay and is well known for his books and ebooks. I costantly try to improve my online sales knowledge and fell all books by Chris Malta, or at least involve him, are excellent. I actually began to read this book after borrowing it from the local library. I was so impressed by the writing style and simple breakdowns that I went on and bought it to own. Very reader friendly and well explained mehtods to asist even the first time Ebayer. This book also serves as a very good reference, this is why I HAD to have it in my personal library. I was prepared to pay face value if needed, but luckily there were some listed on Ebay for less. To be honest, I have yet to find anything worth complaining about. I love it!Read full review
This book is very well written by the CEO of Worldwide Brands. It has some very useful information although it will not solve all of your problems with getting reasonably priced products to sell on eBay. I recommend reading the book to get the basics and as a starting point to generate your own ideas of what to sell and how to get suppliers. Like most of the books in this category it provides some valuable information and a lot of information your probably already know. If you can get the book at a good discount it is worth reading.
The book is very educational for the 'newbies' to eBay and online selling in general. To grow a business one needs to get a product line and suppliers. Chris and Lisa go into detail on how to handle this aspect of your business. All areas of finding a product line and where and how to find suppliers are covered and easy to understand the presentation is intuitive. The time saved in reading this book, rather than experimenting on your own, is extremely valuable. Thank you Chris and Lisa for this book. I recommend it highly. Jim Burwell
