I’ve never thought an amp for $109 would be as amazing as a $800 amp. Not only does it have an abundance of features but the overall sound from each preset and manual knob is just stunning. I had a big smile on my face for hours playing and testing out all the sounds. Needless to say I am now a huge Peavey fan. I never thought you could play a bass and guitar through the same amp and still sound good, but Peavey made that possible. With this amp I am able to sound like Geezer Butler and Dave Murray just to name a few people, seriously this price tops almost any other amp on the market and it’s even good for small gigs! This thing is super light (maybe 30 pounds) is the size of my Crate amp which is closer to 80 pounds. I mentioned it was good for small gigs, and that reasoning is because this thing is so loud even on just levels 1-3. On level 13 it is very loud and it doesn’t make annoying reverb noises when you play it with a bass which is a plus. Highly recommended amp.Read full review

I cannot comment on "gig durability" yet but as a "home" practice amp It's features are unparalleled. The tuner is fast and easy to use and other features; well you need to try one to really appreciate it's features. Two considerations, 1 - would consider buying the foot switch, 2 - If this amp turns out to be as durable as it is fun to use, I would consider use as stage amp (w/t foot switch) in the 40 or 60 watt versions ( not to say this little puppy can't really talk ). But for a $100.00 bill I challenge any buddy to meet it! P.S. My qualifications I have used Peavey gear on the road for over 20 years and beat the liven hell out of it, from roadie abuse to weather and venue conditions. Hope this helps

Only issue is the recording out. Speaker is bypassed either USB or line out. I run direct but I have to wear headphones when tracking and crack monitors so I can hear instruments already tracked. I can adapt since its such a nice amp but thats the only complaint. I found it easy to set up and tweak and save presets. Bass guitar tones are quite good. Clean and no popping on low notes at drop A or B standard tuning. Clean guitar tones are really nice and heavy crunch tones are impressive. My baritone with emg 81 in drop A sounds pretty mean. The tenor in standard tuning sounds crisp. Recorded some test tracks and with HP and LP filters it cleaned up nice and sounded like a stack. The FX's are quite good to. Id recommend it, just be ready to wear headphones while running direct.

Whether you play clean or dirty this amp has what you need. It has an amazing ability to emulate all kinds of different amps, pedals and effects to create a unique sound. Although only pushing 20 watts setting the volume to 5 was enough to rattle the windows in my house. I can only imagine what it puts out at 13. I look forward to experimenting with it in the months to come. For the price I don't think you will find a better deal on a practice amp anywhere.
