I've been playing guitar in bands for 35+ years and have worked in music stores selling guitars on and off over the past 25 years. I'm primarily an electric guitar player and don't play a lot of acoustic because I really don't like the feel of an acoustic guitar. The Washburn has a smaller, more comfortable neck than most acoustics I've played. This guitar has a great sound--rich, full and loud. Out of the box, the action was pretty high and required a lot of filing on the bridge saddle and a slight neck adjustment. But, now it plays and sounds like a $1500 guitar! The glossy finish is nice and smooth and the overall quality is great, especially for guitar in this price range. The guitar sounds good through an amp, as well. It has a 1/4 standard output jack, plus an XLR jack for direct output to PA. I have owned several higher-priced acoustics, but this is by far the best playing, best sounding acoustic I have ever owned and one of the best I've played at any price.Read full review
