As a long-time user of Audio products, the decision to buy these microphones was easy. Wireless microphones are really necessary for our business, but the problem that drove us to market was the constant need to buy batteries. We were spending a small fortune on them and the price keeps going up. The best feature of this system is the rechargeable batteries in the microphones with the charging station built into the sending unit. It's very easy to just drop the microphone into it's charging bay and there's always "juice" when you're ready to sing. No more battery issues! These are good quality microphones for general use. The range is good and they're lightweight and comfortable to the hand. The controls are recessed and covered so there's no chance to turn them off mid-song accidently. There are a couple of "dead zones", but this is common for this type of microphone. We would recommend this model over other similar products in the Audio product line just to save the money on the batteries.Read full review
The Audio 2000's AWM6112 VHF Dual channel/rechargeable wireless mic system is a great unit for the price. It has great response, very little feedback, and limited noise pick up. I was impressed with it's performance and would rate it as a good buy especially for those on a budget looking to add a wireless system. The only downfall I see is completely cosmetic as I feel it looks a bit cheap but don't let the looks fool you. It works very well.
I already have an Audio2000S AWM6112 Handheld Wireless Professional Microphone system. It has three AA batteries for each microphone. I'm not sure what I missed, but the new system only has two AAs per microphone, even with the same model number. If you are trying to record with the new microphone system, you need to make sure you don't move them in your hand. Noises are created that "rough up" your recording. The old microphones don't suffer from that problem. I now have a second Karaoke machine in a different room that doesn't have a recording function. I use the new microphones there. They were a great buy for the price. They can be used a considerable distance from the base (great for songs you've memorized). They look good, although a bit shorter than the old mics. They don't have the color rubber bands around them to differentiate which mic you're picking up. I use the base unit's digital volume meters to show which one your using. And the red on light on the microphone doesn't stay lit. It just flashes for a moment when you turn the mic on. I've read the hype about VHF vs UHF, but I don't find any problem with these VHS mics. I've concluded that this is just a newer and cheaper to build version of this model. The company I dealt with delivered them faster than estimated and packed them very well.Read full review
Good battery life, very very unidirectional input. If you don't talk/sing at the flat face it will NOT hear you. This is great for rejecting feedback, but demands discipline on the part of the user. The batteries won't charge unless the mics are turned off before dropping them in the base unit. We have a different model by the same maker that will attempt to charge even if you leave them on. I don't know which is better. Again, it comes down to discipline on the part of the user. These only have 2 AA cells, the earlier model had 3. I don't know why the change. In both cases we took the cheap AA cells out and put high quality AA Energizer NiMH cells in for longer talk time, because the church where these are used people don't know how to handle mics and leave them on on stage between uses. This model indicates power on by a single blink after sliding the switch up. The previous model had a solid green/red light to indicate battery state. The battery life is long enough that it doesn't matter to us. We also called the seller and told them the frequencies already in use and they sold us a set that didn't overlap. We have 3 sets of 2 each VHF frequency mics on the same small stage and there is no overlap or interference.Read full review
Good entry level set of mics for Karaoke, conferences, non professional performances etc. Decent quality sound. Very good range, long battery life. Added advantage of charging on the base is a great plus, no downtime for battery changes. Nice tough construction. individual volume controls on the base is good, but single output may not be good for male female duets. With a good mixing board, it does the job.
