I didn't watch it. I bought it for someone else. I can't really talk about something that I didn't watch myself now can I? I'm just writing this so my ebay account would stop telling me to write a review about it.
This movie featured a cast that was not nearly as good as the 1939 cast of Merle Oberon and Sir Laurence Oliver. This cast was a stripped down version that had none of the passion or finesse of the former. Sorry I bought both when the 1939 version was all I needed.
Short but well-presented version of the classic tale. Very happy to have been able to get a copy, and the notes that go with it are informative and helpful.
Seen it at drive-in , in 1971 . It is better then original ! Gave-up looking for it; as it was black-balled by hollywood union . Glad to finally find it ! Ken
