I have a very good friend that would never take a chance on buying anything on e-bay. I had bought three saws that were classified as non running but looked good and sold for a very reasonable price. All are still running. All are vintage Stihl saws that have a proven history for performance. My friend had a tree fall down on his property and it went into neighbors yard causing little damage other than its presence. I used one of the saws to help saw the tree into useable pieces that could be split for fire wood. I did not expect it but my friend, with his wife's help, was re-embursed financially for the trees removal by an insurance company. My friend ended up giving me $300.00 for my help in the trees removal. My friend had an 032 chainsaw that he had stolen out of his garage. He has always lamented how much he liked the saw etc. I did not expect or want the $300.00 and I know he would never take the money back but I could return it in the form of long lost chainsaw. The saw I purchased on e-bay looked good visually and was supposed to have bad electronic ignition etc. As a side note I have purchased three of these saws all with bad ignition systems. None of the saws purchased required any ignition components to get them running. The purchased saw was missing a carburator and bar. I bought replacement components on e-bay including an orange Stihl storage case, owner's manual and tool kit. All vintage items, all in new like or working condition. Components have all been put together and placed in storage case. The saw is in perfect condition. I am just looking for a proper time to give the long lost saw back to its owner. The good part is that all components purchased total only $150.00. This is half the price of a new saw.Read full review
One of the best middle of the road saws Stihl ever built... Simple & elegant design that lends it's self to technicians for easy repairs. Good power to weight ratio, will still be working 20 years from now with proper care & routine maintenance... From a technicians point of view, I would work on nothing but 032's the rest of my life & die a happy man....Would recommend this model to everyone I know....

I bought this saw to do some general to meadium/heavy tree work, and to try to make slab lumber out of logs. This saw has been up to the task. It is strong and durable. It is also very east to start, and it handles well. Just a couple of pulls to start it when it's cold, and one once it has warmed up. I have had other chain saws, mostly saws made for lighter work. This saw is no heavier, but does a lot more work. I am very happy with this saw.
The Stihl 032 is one of the best saws I've ever used. It runs like a brand new saw even after 30+ years of service. Easy to maintain and never let's you down. One great little saw. I would recommend any of these older saws over the newer plastic models.

This is a great powerfull yet light to use saw. Even though it was used as soon as I recieved it and put gas in, it started on the first pull. Very impressed with the start, handleing, low vibration, and strong wide cut of the chain. I would highly recomend this saw. Starts and operates smoother than the 265XP 21in saw I had before.
