So far this has been a lot of fun learning and playing this ukulele. It has some imperfections that I have noticed but nothing terrible. A few less polished things here and there that don’t affect the sound or the way you play. I restring it almost immediately with better strings and low G for fuller sound and like it a lot. It comes with nothing but a ukulele, but for someone who’s looking for something for novices - you can’t go wrong with this one. Price is a steal and instrument made well enough. I would buy another one for sure.

I bought this at a price near $30, and its an excellent value at that price. My goal was to buy an inexpensive uke and experiment with painting it. Worked out well for that, and still sounds fine. Pleasant sound, though I prefer the tone and reverb in other ukes I have that are solid top. The binding makes it look sharp. This would be fine for a new player on a budget, though if possible, I'd recommend increasing your budget to about $50 or more and buy a uke with a solid top (spruce or mahogany). Lots of good value options out there.

I bought this for my granddaughter who's about to turn 4 years old. It's not a toy, but it's small enough for her to handle. I replaced the strings immediately, which I generally do as a rule when I buy any stringed instrument. I found the tuners are pretty sloppy and poor quality, and tempted to replace them. But I'll hold off until I see how she takes to the uke before I do since a set of tuners would double my investment. Aside from the tuners it's not bad for an extremely inexpensive instrument. It's quite playable and doesn't sound bad at all.

I'm no expert, but for $30 this is a great instrument. It has a decent tone and the construction seems solid. It has good action. I restrung it with the existing strings to give a double pass through the tuner because I thought the strings were slipping. After that it wouldn't hold its tune, but I read that certain string types take a while to break in and stay in tune. After about an hour of retuning between every song, it seemed to be doing better. Not sure if the tuning issue Isi my fault, the strings or the instrument, but it is to a point where I deem it well worth $30.

This is a great first ukulele. For the price, this is an incredible instrument. Bound neck and body give it the look and feel of a more expensive instrument and it proves that you don't need exotic tonewoods in a ukulele to get decent sound. Fit is very good and, if there is a downside, mine has some minor cosmetic flaws if you look closely. Overall it stands up to instruments costing twice the price.
