I bought these clubs as a replacement to my Adams Ovation 3 irons. The adams were full cavity back, and as i started improving my ball striking ability i went right for the best clubs (nike wins championships haha) I was a little bit unsure of the graphite shafts, but ive noticed that i do not have to swing as hard to get the same distance as before with Adams. The loft i get on my low irons are amazing and my short game with the SW is great. I recommend these clubs to a person with good ball striking ability that wants accurate straight towering irons. On the other side of the fence, the clubs are a little less forgiving being split cavity. If you mishit on toe or heel, it's rather noticable in the distance and feel. I do not recommend these clubs for a begginner, but maybe a 12 handicapper. overall a very good set of irons!Read full review
Wow! What a difference. I have recently purchased my split cavities,an upgrade from my Ping Eye 2s, and I love them. At first they were a little difficult to hit the sweet spot adjusting from the larger Ping, but after a small adjustment and some practice they are amazing! I gained on average 10 yards per club and dopped from a 6 handicap to a 3.One big difference I immediately noticed was a slightly lower more boreing flight path but still landing with a small hop and stop on the greens. By far though the most pleasing feature was the feel! The most solid feel of any club I have ever hit PERIOD. This attempt to discribe the clubs performance falls woefully short so my advice is try one for yourself! Your compitition WILL regret it
It has taken me a while to like these clubs, but I'm getting there. My old cavity back irons allowed me to make good shots while having a flawed swing. When I first started these split cavity irons, they seemed to clink and plink and I couldn't make the ball go. Now I have been forced to make some improvements to my swing just in order to make these clubs function. But it has helped. When you hit these it feels really solid. If you mis-hit they won't go. If you are not shooting under 90 (bogey golf) then you don't want these clubs. But if you have a good fundamental swing they are a nice choice.
The combination of the split cavities and DGS300 shafts are awesome. You can work them to a degree and they are forgiving as well. Solid shots feel very good and not so solid shots aren't too harsh. Been hitting A LOT of greens lately with the irons. Tried many different irons before settling on these.
I love these clubs due to the lightweight, smaller club head and playability. I can manipulate shots at will and it has the forgiveness I need when I don't get the club head square at impact. Try it out at your local golf store if you can find it, but the price and quality was too good to pass up on. Thank you Nike and I hope to lower my handicap with these irons.
