Easiest way to try out Linux i've found
I had tried a few distros off of d/l code, and off of DvDs. The prob with both d/l and disks was that i often found i had errors in the code, and after attempting to load the distro - it wouldn't run properly. I saw this listing, and decided to give it a try. After trying a couple of distros, i installed Mint on a spare 2.5 inch drive for one of my notebooks. After adding a couple of additional pgms off of the mint site, i've got a system that works very well. A couple of features still need to be added, but i'm happy with the results. You really can't go wrong with it.
Pros-Lots of os's and tools. Great to try out the different os's. Cons-Couldn't figure out how to install Debian, my first choice. My second choice Ubunto wouldn't set up a boot sector. (I couldn't figure out how to use partition tools included on the drive. ((to be fair I didn't really extend much work into figuring these problems I had out.)) ) My third choice mint 19.1 worked like a charm. While I'm thinking about it, trying to install Windows 10 32 bit kept telling me my computer wasn't a 64 bit computer, and would halt installation.
