This is a wonderful, compelling book about the original trilogy of Star Wars films released between 1977 and 1983. Author Mark Clark has done his homework: this feels like a definitive book about the original trilogy, how George Lucas created the Star Wars universe, the trials and tribulations of getting the first film made, behind the scenes info about the casting, special effects, filming, production art, etc. sprinkled with terrific photos. This is a fascinating volume and makes for great reading. You get a sense of George Lucas' struggles in getting his epic space opera off the ground; just getting the first film made was a monumental task, not to mention the two sequels, which also had difficulties. If you're a Star Wars fan like me, this is a must have book, in addition to 'Skywalking' by Dale Pollock, another excellent chronicle of the making of the three films of the original trilogy. This is an incredible book that is well worth the money and a great addition to any Star Wars book collection.Read full review
