I was desperate. I'd had a headache for months and could not get rid of it. I had talked to people about changing my diet, but didn't know how to do it. I went to the library and found this book and read it. I identified with 90% of the cases in that book -- memory loss, misdiagnosis, etc. I started following the diet. It took a while, but I was able to get my headaches under control. I took the book to my doctor and he actually knew the author. When asked why he didn't give the diet to me he said that people complained it was too restrictive. My reaction -- do they want to get well, or not? My headaches are now controlled by medication, chiropractic care, and following a diet -- the diet from this book. I also discovered that half of the things on the list of foods to avoid are foods I don't like anyway and almost all of the foods I don't like are on that list. I guess that was my body telling me that those foods were not good for me.Read full review
After 7 and a half years of intractable chronic daily migraine (24/7/365 migraine unresponsive to treatments), I read this book, followed the plan and I now experience migraine episodes. 3 years later, I still follow and swear by it and buy the book for friends/family in need of other idea's.

I do think the book has really good advice and help. I have been using the book now for about 7 weeks. It has improved somethings about my headaches. I'm glad I read it and would definitely buy it again. I wish the book expounded a bit more on hormone and a few more dietary concerns. As of now, I am taking his advice and seeing where it goes from there. I recommend the read.
This book was a recommended read by my doctor. I have been fighting dizzy spells for over ten years now. I have seen just about every specialist in the book from ENTs to Neurologists without any resolve. I have been told to change my diet(to what I wasn't told), take many prescriptions, and believe it or not "Maybe it's all in your head." After a few years of constant disappointment with no remedy in sight, I gave in to the belief that maybe I was crazy and it was just in my head. Just this year I began seeing a specialist for something else and made mention of these dizzy spells that I have been living with for years. He ran some tests, asked a few questions, and then told me that thought I suffered from migraine headaches even though I din't have the normal pain associated with migraines. He suggested I buy the book, follow it closely and return for a recheck. I haven't had a dizzy spell since I follow the strict diet in this book. It was any easy read and has truely been a godsend.Read full review
