I like this Rod, as I have caught many types of fish with it. It has a great feel to it. This is a solid rod but a sensitive one as well. My neighbor, whom has been fishing for 65 years, saw me using it when we went out on his boat. He asked to try it out and he loved it. He actually had me order 2 of these rods for him. This is a great Rod for the money !!

I purchased one of these a few weeks ago, after reading all of the positive reviews. I like it so much I just ordered another. It is sensitive and strong, and casts light lures a long way when paired with an Okuma Avenger av1000 reel. It’s not too stiff for playing smaller and medium sized fish. Yesterday my son hooked and landed a 18 inch largemouth, his first big fish, and the rod was more than up to the challenge. This is a great rod for pond fishing. It’s also a good choice for a quality setup for a young angler who is ready for a decent rig that’s not too expensive. If you’re looking for a nice all around rod for lighter applications, this is a good one to try!

This is a fantastic rod, especially considering the price. For years I have used Loomis rods which are fantastic, however they are pricy. So I needed a cheap rod to use for a special application and purchased an Okuma Celilo spinning rod. I was amazed at the quality of a $35 rod and have purchased two more since then, including this CE-S-702L-1. It is a fantastic rod for the price.

This is the best trout rod I've come across in 54 years of fishing! Extremely high quality. At 7' (which is almost unheard of in light action rods) it's highly sensitive to even the lightest strikes. This feature also makes even the lightest lures very castable without adding extra weights. I would also recommend adding the Okuma Ignite light action reel for an excellent combo! From beginner to pro this rig has it all!
This light action rod is an excellent value. I own several much more expensive rods of different brands that I use catching all the usual inshore fish on the upper Texas coast and this Okuma rod is just as good if not better.
