I have used Krups coffee makers forever as they were made in Switzerland and unfortunately these days almost all medium to lower priced machines are made in China and there is little to no quality control and this includes most of the Krups products. I have tried at least a dozen other brands. I will take a used Krups made in Switzerland any day to a new Chinese made piece of junk.

I ordered this as a replacement for my old one which give me 10 years of service. This little machine makes a good cup and a half of Joe and steams milk very effectively. Makes excellent lattes. Need to clean the steam nozzle head or it gets clogged up though.

It's a shame that this model is no longer made because it makes a large batch of great espresso. It has a large well made stainless steel filter (double size) and can hold up to about 1.75 cups of water. I add only 1.5 cups of water to minimize that bitter taste and grind my coffee really fine (Turkish). Perfect every time. My first one lasted 10 years before the boiler blew its safety valve. My fault as I over tamped the coffee in the filter.

A Breville Oracle Espresso Machine this is "not", but for its size and cost it does a moderately good job! Well designed and very simple. For folks who like coffee that is more than just a Drip Machine, this is a great buy, especially for small apartment / condo kitchen where there is little counter space.

It's the best little coffee/latte maker for the price.
