I made this purchase to have mobility with my work e-mail. I like the size and weight however I'm unable to delete the previous owner info. I dislike the fact I can see their e-mail accounts before I can view my own. I was informed if I delete the previous owner data out of the tablet I will not be able to access the internet or anything else from the tablet. Also for an unknown reason, I'm unable to use the 4G on this tablet. I saw a demonstration of the iPad and I want one. I'm going to sell the Coby Kyros for a iPad a.s.a.p.
I really love it because I did my legwork and my expectations met the good deal I received and there was great value. The screen is not capacitive like the iPads, iTouch, iPhones but it is touch screen. I use only my fingertip so I'm not sure why everyone else says it doesn't work. You have to train yourself to use it. Drag that horse back to the water and eventually he'll drink it. It's a fine touch screen. I was having issues saving things to the unit but then realized I needed to get an adapter for the SD card and manage it from the computer (I also need to root it but again, need the card adapter to do so, getting that today). The appslib it comes with is quite limited. While it's an Android OS it must be rooted or opened up so you can get access to all the apps. No biggy, the ability just doesn't come standard - come on, it was $99 plus shipping! It's great - I am a big book reader and one of the PDF apps in the apps lib is perfect for me. I don't do gaming or even watching videos so I can't comment on those capabilities. Email is great. The Facebook app is awesome too. Now I just need a mobile broadband for it! I'm happy!Read full review
I was surprised to find out how well the screen worked. I have not needed to use the stylus that this came with yet. This is great for internet browsing and reading epub documents. I also have been able to read some pdf documents. I am very content with the quality to price ratio. I use a ipad at work and this does not compare to that, but the device works great for what I need it to do (be a ebook reader, email, music, play movies on my projector). Also after keeing an eye on the price for an extended time I believe it is safe to say that by buying this you could always resell it and not loose much money. just please, please dont buy this to take notes in class or something like that...they sell laptops for that exact reason.
Pros: The tablet has enough horsepower 800Mhz telechip processor, 4Gb internal memory expandable with upto 16Gb micro sd card. Build quality is good, touch screen response is excellent, browser works well. Cons: No android market loaded, no physical volume up/down keys, does not support openGL graphics(angry birds plays, but score and other items do not display correctly. Actual game play is fine.) If you can follow a few simple steps to root, load clockworkmod you can then load android market. I like this product, works quite well. I have bought two now and own a flytouch 7"(this one really sucks).
I bought his tablet because of the low cost and I am happy I did! It surfs the web at a decent speed and accesses my email inbox 10X faster than my desktop! Streams Youtube videos GREAT, and has fun, useful and free apps through the get jar app store. I don't know how this tablet compares to others, because I've never used/owned any other. I liked this one so much that I purchased three (3) more, one for each of my kids! This is a great little tablet for the price, and I have already recommended it to others!
