Father Ted is for those who can appreciate British humor. It may offend those who hold clergy as near perfect. Father Ted will give you the impression that all clergy are dysfunctional and might as well have a bit of a laugh at their mortal failings. The writing is first class and the offensive language mostly hidden in the British language if you are accustomed to american english. Father Ted and Dougal are indespensibly funny. The show came to an ubrupt end as Father Ted past away one day after filming the final episode.
