I bought it for my 3 chihuahuas and I’d recommend for small breed dogs. One of my dogs has thicker nails so it did take longer to file, but she didn’t seem to mind b/c it was not loud and no cords make it easy to maneuver... only reason I gave three stars is because batteries were NOT included as advertised.

I love. It's a great idea, however my dog keeps jumping around and barking whenever I turn it on due to the motor sound it makes. I let him sniff it out and play around with to let him know it's okay...and he is having no part of it. Useless for us.

Its easy to use and has an auto stop if the nails goes to far in against the file. This product does not work well for large dog nails. Takes way too long. I spent almost an hour and a half just on the front paws. Wish the filing material was a bit more abrasive or the they had the option for it so that it would be easier to do large dog's nails. But if you have the time go for it. My dog just laid there and let me do his nails.
