First off let me say if you do not know what south park is by now, I suggest you watch it on comedy central before attempting a purchase. This cartoon is not for everyone. And ESPECIALLY NOT FOR KIDS. Season one is what I expected..... every episode from season one of course LOL. It is a 3 disc box set. I love this show, although some episodes are way too out there. Season one has all the classic episodes which made this series so dang popular. I only give this particular set a good rating because the creators matt parker and trey stone do a interview before each episode and its rather quite boring. And you cant skip past it because it will go to the next episode on the disc and of course you have to watch that interview for the next episode too. They got rid of this rubbish by season three. if you havent heard of south park by nw i dont know where youve been. but if you are interested in this dvd collector pack then you must be a fan just like me.i really didnt start watching south park untill it was in its 6th season. even though the show is on regular tv and cable i still couldnt see all the great episodes that i had missed due to work and sleep. i was going to by each season little by little but that was going to take way to long and it was going to be pricey. then i stumbled upon this dvd set. it has the 1st 12 seasons all in 1 package! it not only saved me major money but also saved me the time and hassle of hunting down all the seasons 1 by 1! i love this show and now i have the convineince to waych it in my home when i want to! the dvd set is great and has tons of bonus features that will make any fan of the show really happy! the only downside is the price. i was lucky to buy it in a no reserveauction so i got it for a steal. but trust me whether you buy it for a low price or ebay regular price you are still saving loads of money versus buying them at the store! its a great set for anyone who likes southpark the way it was supposed to be watched....uncensored lol!!!Read full review
Trey Parker and Matt Stone have weird minds. Their jokes are all centered around potty this and potty that, they like to use swear words a lot (mostly bleeped), and almost everything that they do has been done before whether on the Simpsons or Beavis and Butthead. So some of their humor can be tiresome. But they still do it in a fresh way with the crude cartoons of South Park. The characters are just different enough that they all work together well. They try to give us a moral of the story for every episode, then it's like who cares-whatever. It took me a while to warm up to the South Park kids when I first seen them on Comedy Central, but then I realized that they could be the Seinfeld of animation. They tackle cutting edge subjects that no one else would think of, and no one else could probably get away with. Season One is a good season, especially after watching it for how many years and looking back at how they started. It has the classics "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe" and "Mr. Hanky The Christmas Poo", which I think are pretty much self explanatory by the titles. The intros to the episodes (with Parker and Stone) are funny at first, but I grew tired of them and fast forwarded right to the episodes. Maybe you'll like them, maybe not. All in all, if you like South Park, it's a great season to start with.Read full review
