I first had one of these candy bars when I was about 11 years old in Freeport Texas and I have always loved these they used to have almonds and they were a little bit better then but I still love them better than Butterfingers

The old-time Zagnut taste is still there. The toasted coconut, the crunchy peanut flavor, the memories flooded back from my younger days when a candy bar, having a useful size, served more often than not as a delicious snack. While the flavor and memories are still in the familiar package, what's not there anymore is the rest of the candy bar. The modern bar has shrunk to a mere 1.51 ounce bite- okay, two small bites- representing far more memory than substance. Still, I enjoyed this taste of the 1950s and 60s and will ration them to myself at no more than two at a time. Or three. Maybe four, I don't know.

Zagnuts are hard to find in my area. Nice change from your standard chocolate. Love chocolate and Hersheys 5th Avenue bars are great. Something about those confectioners flakes in these products that I enjoy.

These candy bars were primarily intended for the Southeastern US market originally made by Clark. and almost became extinct until Hershey purchased the rights to manufacture them. These are amongst the best candy bars ever made. I urge you to try them. Your taste buds won't be disappointed. Disappointing is the fact that Hershey does a very poor job of promoting them.
