The Leupold BX-1 Yosemite line of binoculars are lightweight and offer excellent visual clarity in a variety of outdoor lighting conditions. The 10 power will tend to be a bit powerful for most users, so you might want to seriously consider the 8 power (which I also own). Just bear in mind that higher magnification binoculars take more effort to hold steady when looking at objects far away.

I bought these for spotting my shots at the gun range. I haven't gotten out to the range to test them yet so I've been spotting the local squirrels up in the pine trees that grow all around my place. From what I can tell so far, they should be fine for seeing .22 shots at 100 yards which are really small. I have different vision in each eye so the focus feature that lets you do each eye separately is handy for me to have. The only annoyance I have about these is that the occular distance settings on the eyepieces moves a bit too easily so I have to be careful and not move them.

These Binos are fantastic! Even though the BX-1 Yosemite 117981 is sort of discontinued now, I was sold and set on getting a pair after hunting with a friend last weekend who had them. I have been looking for decent binoculars that weren't too clunky and didn't break the bank too bad to pick up... these fit the bill perfectly... bang for the buck! the money not the Deer... ;^]

Why bother to spend $1000 when you can have really good quality and absolutely crisp/sharp image, fog/water proof, light weight, compact binoculars under $100 !!! No need for newer models with roof prism. Porro prism gives you real 3D. I purchaced 3 Leupold BX-1 10x30 and gave 2 to my friends.
