    The Greatest MP3 Player Ever Made

    I don’t think Apple, or anyone else will ever create a product so perfect for its function as the iPod classic. This charming little plastic and aluminum square boasts the most intuitive user interface out there, durability that puts other products to shame, and an iconic design that belongs in a museum. This is a device totally devoted to playing MP3’s, and it’s really, REALLY good at it. If you can find a model that has the Wolfson DAC soundcard in it, you will be amazed at the superior playback quality. It sounds much better than the playback on my smartphone. Another nice thing; my office has poor cell reception, meaning that my music listening is limited by both my data plan, and my phones ability to grab a signal. Not so with my iPod classic! I can listen to my tunes for days. Well, ...

    iPod Classic 5th Gen

    The unit I purchased fits the visual description of the item. The bad part is it needs a new battery as it does not hold a charge for long, and the battery is noticeably swollen. The mechanical hard drive also started having issues a couple of days ago, probably just a result of age and shipping. I will be replacing the mechanical with an iflash and the battery will be upgraded to a 3000mah battery as well. Pleased with purchase, just haven’t gotten to actually use it yet because of the battery!

    Ipod Video 5th Gen

    Overall I have to say that along with my iPod mini, this has also done me well. Of course, it is easy to use, small in size which is great for travel, there is more than enough room for music, pictures, and videos. You can play games and store all sorts of different media like notes, outlook calendars and reminders etc. The clickwheel is very easy to use and convenient for fast selecting and scrolling. Although it seems that the battery life is not as long as Apple makes it seem. Maybe at the most 4 hours of battery life without a charger, especially when you are viewing video. I have also had a bit of trouble with the iPod when it was first purchased. It for some reason had trouble while syncing pictures. Although with a bit of helpful customer service through Apple, I got it to work ...

    Love the iPod, but...

    I am a music teacher, so I am constantly downloading music for the iPod I use at school. I finally bought one for myself to use at home. I love both of them, but I get frustrated in that the iPod is "tied" to a certain computer - it cannot be connected to another computer to download music without losing everything previously downloaded to the iPod. This is problematic in that every time I want to put music on my home iPod that I have purchased at school, I have to make a CD of the music and bring it home - I cannot simply hook my home iPod to my school computer without erasing everything I have put on it at home. Again, I think iPods are great, but if Apple could work on this flaw in the design, it would be very helpful.

    It could be better. The only redeeming quality is the memory space.

    I bought this because my radio in the car doesn't always work and silence isn't always golden. My previous ipod was stollen at work and the thief was never made to give it back or pay for a replacement. I was pissed at the company and the thief but I couldn't afford a new ipod. The one I had before was 4gb and had a long battery life of no less than 12 hours of play. The ipod I bought on ebay to save me from the silence(doctor who reference intended). It has a great memory but the battery life really really stinks. With a full charge it only lasted I'd say 4-5 hours that is with out constantly changing songs. Would be a lot better if the battery lasted. I really enjoy the playlist section to put my favorite songs on rather than shuffle through the 3000 songs on the ipod. All in all I miss ...
