I bought this phone after my daughter had laid her Samsung A670 to waste 8 months before our contract was up for renewal. My daughter actually found this phone as a feasible answer to her problem and it met her requirements. While the camera is not as good as her samsung and the phone is a tad bulkier and heavier the purchase price of $24 with all the extras that came with it made this acquisition a no brainer! The camera does a nice job in perfect light but other then that.... (but hey its a phone right!). My Daughter also says it a bit annoying that you can't shut off the blue light (but it makes it really easy to find it in the dark!!!) When my verizon contract is up I may just come shopping again rather then be limited by their choices (and hype)! For my money...I couldn't be happier.Read full review
I bought this phone about 10 years ago and it has been really fine. It's very simple and easy to use. It still works but it's falling apart though and looks really beat up now. I was thinking about buying a new iPhone but then I didn't want to have to pay about double each month for phone service so I looked on Amazon and found one with a new battery and a charger and even a car charger for very cheap so I ordered it and it works just fine! I'm very pleased. I saw a brand new one still in the box awhile back and wish I'd bought it. I am still keeping an eye on the ones that come up for sale from time to time. It's very easy to still find batteries for the phone also which is great and they aren't expensive at all. Years ago I enquired about the cost of the batteries at the Verizon store and they were $50! They don't even sell them anymore now. I've bought them online brand new for as little as $1.95! I usually pay more for them though, $8.98-$12.95Read full review
It's not a smart phone. But it does have mobile web, mobile e-mail, and ap download ability. What it is is tough, light weight, blank on the outside until you get a call or push any button to check the time. Programming voice command takes awhile, but it does a very good job. You can even set the phone so it speaks to tell you who is calling ... or what number is calling if it's not among your contacts. And it can be a great work phone for outdoor or delivery group type jobs -- because it handles PTT (push to talk) if you sign up for the service with Verizon. It, of course, has all the "standard features": Selective ringtones, speaker-phone option, camera for still or video, wallpaper option on main screen, alarm clock, calendar, note book, calculator, text/picture/video/multimedia messaging, and can play games you download. This phone also has memory card optional (micro SD), which means you can load it up with music to listen to (Bluetooth or earbud), transfer pictures and video to the card, and then transfer that data to your computer. None of that having to e-mail your pictures to yourself, which means paying for data transfer ... not when you can slip the memory card into a reader which plugs into your computer (or maybe some printers?). Just how good is it? It was good enough that when one of ours was destroyed, by a dozen cars running over it, I hunted for this specific phone as a replacement. We now have three in active use and a fourth for a spare. Too bad Verizon doesn't stock them any more, despite showing this phone on their webpage the last time I checked. However, if you buy one they will activate it; when they check for serial number and find it clear, they'll assign it to the number of your choice (if this is a replacement) or will give you a new number for it.Read full review
I like that it is solid black, sleek look Very light an thin . It seems to be balanced well when I open the flip its not top heavey.I also like the buttons very clean ( Not all busy with to much stuff goin own) Plain but nice Balance. I bought the phone becase I had a touch screen and hated it! I could not wait 2 yrs to upgrade , saw this one on Ebay Got great deal and sold my touch screen. The only thing it dosent have is a way to Edit photos . Kinda miss that and no USB cable have to purchace seperate Batterie Last me about 48 Hrs between charges.
The reason this phone is kind of cool is because it was compact and had video. It was from 2006 and most phones (on the verizon network at that time had more expensive phones that had video) and online this was for free. It was dropped a lot and survived but we upgraded. My lg 3450 stopped producing sound when we were about to go on vacation, and I switched to this, the phone was good for videos and pictures. However when my grandfather wanted to join the grandmother's plan, it had a bad esn or something with the antennae motor and lost reception everywhere was switched out and he got the Samsung U340. The ringtones were cool and at college campus was great to vibrate dance & amuse people.
