A beast of a knife made with impeccable precision and high quality materials.
If I had to pick only one folding knife it would be quite possibly this. I love this knife so much that I'll put it right up there with the Spyderco Paramilitary 2. The only thing the para has on this is it's made in the USA. It's really hard to knock off a point for being made in Taiwan however when it's built like this Recon 1. It could be built in Pakistan and I'd buy it anyway if this was the finished product. You would easily pay around $140 for this if it said USA. GREAT FEELING IN THE HAND AND LOCKS UP LIKE A FIXED BLADE. BEASTLY YET FINE ENOUGH FOR VERY DETAILED, PRECISION WORK. I'M GOING TO ENJOY PUTTING THIS THROUGH IT'S PACES. Great blade for the money
Great knife for situations where a fixed blade is too high profile but you need the strength and durability of a 4" tanto. It is a bit big for EDC but in states where you arent allowed to CC, a large folder is a great option. The fact that its a S35VN blade and comes razor sharp for under $80 is a huge win for Cold Steel.

Best 4" Folder for the money
Cold Steel still makes the single best locking mechanism on the open market. This blade is exceptionally rugged, centered perfectly, and scalpel-sharp. If you're looking for an excellent EDC, this is it. It cuts through cardboard, corrugated fiberboard, rope, garden hoses, and is a very formidable self-defense weapon. You will need to adjust the extra strong metal clip. I place a couple of nickels under it for a few days or gently and slowly stretch it with a screwdriver. Cold Steel Recon sp blade S35
Solid,quality materials, good in hand all grips. My one fault like most factory grinds is its done on a belt....lots of different geometry difference from side to side. No problem if u have diamond hones.
