This film was attacked by some because of its sacrilegious bits, but the overall theme is very Christian. The church fails to live up to God's expectations. Lots of interesting ideas, good performances. That the heroes and prophets are losers and outcasts is right in sync with the Bible. Because of the controversy, it may never become available as streaming, so if you want to see it, you have to buy or rent the DVD.

This listing is very misleading. The thumbnail picture makes it look like a normal american version until you receive the dvd in the mail and realize you have to watch it in subtitles. Very disappointed and now I have to order this movie again and wait for the right format to come.

I have loved this movie since the first time I have seen it years ago! It's great to actually own it with all the extras! It is funny and at times serious and even sometimes BOTH! If you like any other of Kevin Smiths movies this one is a must own!
