Really hard to do better than this deal. A quality instrument worth several times the price. Fender is now a globally licensed company and this Made in Indonesia guitar is produced using the same computerized lasers and imported hardware used to make the guitars anywhere else. In the past the fret finish has usually been about the only thing wrong with imported, down-market Fender guitars, the first wave of Made-in-Mexico instruments from around the 90's were a glaring example of this, but by present day as in this case they're almost as good as any other modern Fender. The color and the look is great, the playability is excellent right out of the box. I couldn't be more pleased and may even buy another because for the money the value and quality of this guitar is plain unbelievable.

First, the fret ends are sharp and need to be sanded, crowned and polished. The frets feel like they were filed with a coarse file. Two of the four neck plate screws were loose. One of the bridge plate mount screws was stripped! The selector switch had a cold solder joint and did not work in the bridge position. The pickups are harmonic and squeal worse than any guitar I've ever had. There are two very minor imperfections in the paint that are of no real concern. On a positive note: the nut is cut properly, and the pickups sound OK despite the terrible harmonics. Although this is a low end guitar, any Fender should not have left the factory like this. No fault of the seller. 😊

It a telecaster. The poplar wood is light and resonant. It stays in tune. The neck is perfect. The pickups are pretty good but I want Seymore Duncan quarter pound tele pickups. I change the pickguard to tortoise shell to add some contrast to the look. The laurel neck is comfortable. The frets are all perfect on the edges. The neck seems like a medium “C” and feels great.I put on cobalt strings and set the pickup height and it sounds great! I have recorded four songs with it. If you want a telecaster and have limited funds ($600 for brand) this is the guitar for you. I got because I liked the color, and now I love the way it plays!!

If the tele tone is what you are after this is the guitar for you. Did a shoot out with my nephew’s Squire Vintage Modified Butterscotch Blond tele and this one was almost as good sounding actually a little brighter. His sounded slightly smoother, but this was lighter in weight and $200.00 less in price, so no brainer there! Best bang for your buck here and can’t beat the cool Surf Green color!!

This guitar has fantastic quality for the price. It has a good feel, decent action, is set up well, tunes well, and stays in tune during hard playing. I own 52 guitars of all types and price ranges. I keep this one next to my desk to pick up and play when i get the urge; a fun, economical axe.
