Growing up in the 60's and 70's, Marantz was universally known as the best of the best in receivers. And I've always wanted one since then. These many years later, I decided I still wanted one, and did some research and looking around and made a purchase. I wqnted one one that did not say "restored" since most such restorations involved using Deoxit D5 which ruins the carbon disc in potentiometers. I wanted to restore myself. It requires Deoxit F5 which is safe for carbon discs. Anyway, I LOVE the 2220B and am VERY happy with it.

Great product with good sound quality. I upgraded the burned out panel bulbs with blue LEDs . Looks Great! Cleaned all pots and switches. Found an imbalance on the channels when in phono mode but still consider the purchase a good deal. After all...It’s a Marantz!!!

Like the other comments about this product say that it is an Old School Piece of Stereo equipment & brings back your childhood days it does just that I have one just like this & 3 more and they are like they say raw power Receivers & unlike the ones of today I'm perfectly satisfied with mine and would not take anything for them & most highly recommend them to anyone out there young or old as well they are well worth the money you pay for them & to own
