This is my son's primary mode of transportation for home use. We had two Maclaren Major Push Chairs - one for home and one for school use. I passed our first one on to another family once my son got too big to be carried on and off the bus and needed a chair suitable for transport. After five years, it still has a lot of life in it and another family is benefitting! For children with mild/moderate physical limitations, this is a great push chair. It is lightweight, compact, sturdy, attractive, and easy to push. I recommend the shopping bag as the minimum accessory. The chairpad and sunshade are nice to have too. For children that need more support, consider the Special Tomato Soft Touch Liner added to this chair. We have the Size 3 (biggest) and it fits perfectly. I like the Special Tomato Soft Touch Liner better than the laterals because it doesn't confine the child or take up the width of the chair like the laterals do. It is designed to work with this chair and others that have a three-point seatbelt, as there is a hole integrated in the anchor point (crotch) of the seat pad. This chair will accommodate a child for many years. Our son started using his chair at age four and at age 9 1/2 it is still plenty big for him.Read full review
I love this stroller. We purchased it for our disabled son a few years ago. He is now 7 and we still use it at times. I made a fabric covered wedge for the seat to fit him better because of his height. That might be an idea for the company to come up with to get longer use out of it. It is easy to maneuver with one hand and durable. I would like to see this version able to recline for sleeping. The only complaint that I would have is that we purchased the side inserts/pads and foot rest. Both of which need to be removed when closing up the stroller, so that was an inconvenience when needing to fold it up while out to get it out of the way. But, we managed to bring a canvas bag and store the pieces in that. One more thing that I love about it is that it sits higher than other strollers so your child is up higher and engaging with others more easily.Read full review
I have one of these strollers and like everyone else - I find them great for convience, easy storage ect. My only warning would be to parents who have children with tonic type or "active" / "violent" seizures or children with behavioral issues. They can flip this stroller on it's side rather easily. For a situation like that - I'd suggest something more along the lines of a medical pushchair or conventional wheelchair. Maclaren strollers are sturdy - but they are not that sturdy! Also - I would not recomend this stroller for a child who has poor upperbody muscle tone or one who sleeps alot. This stroller isn't particularly condusive to sleeping
Was brand new! No marks or missing pieces and we love how easy it is to get a place for our special kiddo to sit in outings!

I have a 5 year old autistic son with low muscle tone in his lower body. This stroller is the best! Light weight, easy to close up and open, comfortable, and big enough for my son to ride in. We bought it before a recent family vacation to an amusement park that would require a lot of walking, I don't think we would have made it without this stroller, it was a smooth ride, my husband likes it because he is tall, regular strollers are too low for him and he ends up with a back ache, this was just right. It's pricey, but worth it. And it will last many many years to come as it adjusts to fit bigger kids. Our vacation was a little less stress free because he was comfortable and got to take ride breaks.
